Sponges are great. They are absorbent and flexible – just like what any team building activity aims to achieve in each individual. Round up your team and be ready to absorb in this four sponge-filled games!
What better way to engage team building with your tactical and communication skills? Check out our combat archery tag for your next team building session! Played using a bow and foam sponge spearheaded arrows, be prepared to dodge and have a game plan ready to take down your opponents! Get ready to be as cool as your favourite archers (mine is Legolas from Lord of the Rings!) as you take aim and shoot.
2. Water captain’s ball with a sponge
Is normal captain’s ball too boring for your team? Well then, challenge yourselves not only by playing captain’s ball in the water, but replace the ball with a sponge instead! Be prepared, it isn’t easy to catch a small sponge! This team building activity is a simple session for you guys to bond and relief stress together, so go out and have some fun!
This team building game is good for getting to know each other’s names. But if you’re looking for something that allows your team to know one another better, try calling out different traits, characteristics likes or dislikes of a certain team member, and get the person in the centre to guess and “hit” the correct person with the foam noodle! This version of Whacko allows team members to know one another better through a short game, and not only that, you can add in some forfeits to spice things up as well!
4. Sticky Noodles
Yes. It’s somewhat literal. But these ‘Noodles’ refer to foam noodles used in pool games. No, you do not have to use them in a pool. Instead, get your team into pairs, and get each pair to walk from one end of the room to the other with a foam noodle between them both! To make it more challenging, restrict which body parts can be used to hold the foam noodle between the pair. If you want a greater challenge, use only the ends of the foam noodles! (Hint: Use only your foreheads to hold the foam noodles between pairs!)
